Hire a Facebook ads expert in Bangladesh: a brand’s guide

Hiring a Facebook ads expert in Bangladesh: skills to check, time zones, safe partner access, payment, contracts and warning signs for overseas brands.

Short answer: Hiring a Facebook ads expert in Bangladesh can work very well for US, UK, Canadian and Australian brands, as long as you judge them on the same things you would judge anyone on: how they think about tracking, structure and creative, how they communicate, and whether they leave you in full control of your accounts. Plan around the time difference, give access through your Meta business portfolio as a partner, and agree scope and reporting in writing before you start.

Why brands hire Facebook ads experts from Bangladesh

Meta advertising is done entirely online. The ad account, Events Manager, the catalog and the reports are the same tools whether the person running them sits in London, Toronto or Dhaka. That makes it one of the easiest marketing roles to hire remotely.

Brands usually look abroad for three reasons:

  • Cost: a senior specialist abroad can cost less than a local agency retainer, so more of the budget goes into ads and creative.
  • Direct access: you work with the person doing the work, not an account manager passing messages along.
  • Coverage: the time difference means someone can review results and make changes while your team is offline.

None of these matter if the person is not good. Location is a practical detail. Skill and honesty are what you are hiring for. If you are deciding between a specialist and an agency more broadly, my guide on hiring a remote digital marketer from Bangladesh covers the general setup.

What a good Facebook ads expert in Bangladesh should know

The skills are the same as anywhere. Look for someone who can explain, in plain English, how they would handle each of these:

  • Tracking: Meta Pixel plus the Conversions API, correct purchase or lead events, and deduplication between the two.
  • Campaign structure: knowing when to use Advantage+ sales or leads campaigns, and why fewer, bigger ad sets usually beat many small ones. Jon Loomer, a well known Meta Ads educator, recommends consolidating budget into fewer campaigns and ad sets for stable delivery.
  • Creative strategy: producing or briefing varied ads, not just editing headlines.
  • Measurement: separating new customers from existing ones and checking Meta’s numbers against your store or CRM.
  • Your market: understanding your customers, prices, shipping, seasons and ad policy rules in your country.

Certification can help but it is not proof of results. The Meta Certified Media Buying Professional badge, for example, covers ad buying, the auction, troubleshooting and the Meta pixel, and it needs renewing every year. Ask to see it on Credly, then focus on how the person actually thinks.

Time zones: making the gap work for you

Bangladesh uses Bangladesh Standard Time, UTC+6, and has not used daylight saving time since 2009. So the gap only shifts when your country changes its clocks. Roughly:

Your locationDhaka compared with youEasy overlap
UK5 to 6 hours aheadYour morning is the Dhaka afternoon
US and Canada (Eastern)10 to 11 hours aheadYour early morning or late evening
US (Pacific)13 to 14 hours aheadYour late afternoon or evening
Australia (Sydney)4 to 5 hours behindYour afternoon is the Dhaka late morning

What I recommend: agree one fixed weekly call in a slot that suits both sides, and handle everything else in writing. A shared doc or Slack channel with a short daily or twice weekly update works better than trying to overlap all day. Overnight work can be an advantage. You can send feedback at the end of your day and wake up to changes.

Giving account access safely

Never share your personal Facebook login, and never let anyone build your ads inside their own ad account. The business should own the business portfolio, the ad account, the Page, the pixel and the catalog. Jon Loomer lists agencies owning client assets as a common mistake that makes switching partners painful later.

The clean way to give access is partner access in your business portfolio. The steps, as outlined in this partner access walkthrough, look like this:

  1. Ask the expert for their business portfolio ID.
  2. In your business settings, go to Partners and choose to give a partner access to your assets.
  3. Enter their business ID.
  4. Select only the assets they need, such as the ad account, Page, pixel and catalog, and set the permission level for each.
  5. Confirm and ask them to check that the access works.

You need full control of the business portfolio to do this. When the work ends, you simply remove the partner. Keep your own payment method on the ad account so ad spend is billed to you directly. If you are a Bangladeshi business running your own ads, the payment side is different, and I explain it in how to run Facebook ads from Bangladesh.

Payment, contracts and reporting

Before you start, put these in writing:

  • Scope: which platforms, how many campaigns, who makes creative, whether landing page or tracking work is included.
  • Fee model: monthly retainer, percentage of ad spend or a mix, plus how any setup work is charged.
  • Payment method and currency: agree how invoices are paid, for example through an international transfer service, and who covers the fees.
  • Reporting: what you get, how often, and which numbers count. Ask for spend, purchases or qualified leads, cost per result and revenue, not just reach and clicks.
  • Notice period and handover: how either side ends the work, and confirmation that all assets stay with you.

Keep ad spend and management fees separate. Your ad spend should be paid by you to Meta. The expert’s fee is paid to them. For context on what ad spend itself tends to involve, see my post on Facebook ads cost.

A simple hiring process

  1. Shortlist two or three people based on their thinking and communication, not on screenshots of ROAS.
  2. Ask for an audit or a walkthrough of your current account. A good expert will point out tracking gaps and structure problems quickly.
  3. Hold one video call to check spoken English, clarity and how they handle questions they cannot answer.
  4. Start with a defined trial period, such as 60 to 90 days, with agreed goals and a clear review date.
  5. Review on your own numbers, using your store or CRM, not only Ads Manager.

Warning signs to watch for

  • Asking for your personal Facebook password.
  • Wanting to run your ads from their own ad account or Page.
  • Promising a fixed ROAS or “guaranteed sales” before seeing your account.
  • Talking only about interest targeting and “hacks”, with nothing on tracking or creative.
  • Reports full of reach and likes but no revenue or lead quality.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to hire a Facebook ads expert in Bangladesh?
Yes, if you set it up properly. Give access as a partner through your Meta business portfolio, keep your own payment method on the ad account, and agree scope and reporting in writing. You stay the owner of every asset and can remove access at any time.
How do I handle the time difference?
Bangladesh is on UTC+6 with no daylight saving. Agree one weekly call in a slot that suits both sides and handle the rest in writing. Many brands like that changes can be made while their own team is offline.
Should the expert use my ad account or theirs?
Always yours. Your business should own the ad account, Page, pixel and catalog. The expert works inside them through partner access. That keeps your data and history if you ever change who manages the ads.
Does a Meta certification guarantee good results?
No. A certification shows the person has passed an exam on Meta’s tools. It is a reasonable signal, but you should still judge them on how they explain tracking, structure, creative and measurement for your business.
